2011 THSA Conference
 

The Texas Head Start Association's 26th Annual conference was a success! Some of the keynote speakers were: Carolyn Stenett representing Yasmina Vinci – NHSA Executive Director, Shawn Pickney representing Yvette Sanchez Fuentes – Director of Office of Head Start, Dr. Michael Gaffney – Certified Child & Youth Care Practitioner, and Margie Petty – Region VI Regional Director Department of Health and Human Services.

The Leadership Summit was well attended. Presenters included Leon McCowan – Regional Administrator ACF, George Campbell – Region VI, Kara Johnson – Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition President & CEO, Ron Reynolds – State Representative District 27, and Dr. Michael Gaffney – Certified Youth & Child Practitioner.

$2 per child kick off was also part of the opening session.

Special Thanks to exhibitors and presenters. The 2012 27th Annual Training Conference will be held in San Antonio, TX. The dates and venue will be announced later.
