How do I join TXHSA?1. Submit an application and payment by mail to: Attn: Membership Texas Head Start Association (TXHSA) 818 E 53rd Street Austin, TX 78751 2. Complete an online application and provide payment.

What benefits do program staff and parents recieve?All staff and parents of Head Start of member Head Start programs automatically receive discounts to TXHSA conferences and other events. The discount is given by simply choosing the organization name during registration and if the organization is a member, the member rate will be applied. View Membership Benefits for more details.

What is the cost of membership?There are a variety of membership types; the membership type chosen dictates the cost of the TXHSA membership. Visit our Membership Fees page for more details.

How long will my membership last?The TXHSA membership is an annual membership that runs each year from January 1st to December 31. If an applicant signs up for membership in the middle of the membership term they will only receive the months that remain in the term.

Can I get a refund?Annual TXHSA memberships are non-refundable or cancel-able during the membership year

How long will it take to activate my membership?When your membership is processed, you immediately will receive an email to set up your password and a welcome letter. You can log into My TXHSA to print your membership card.

How do we receive membership cards for our staff?Membership cards may be printed by the individual through access to the My TXHSA member portal. Agencies may input a roster of individuals they wish to receive ID cards. To update the roster, please go to My TXHSA on the TXHSA.org home page. A unique email address and password is needed to receive access to the TXHSA member website. and a membership ID card. With a unique email address and password for My TXHSA, your staff member can log into My TXHSA, click view membership card. We recommend using personalized, unique email addresses for employees and not generic addresses such as teacher@txhsa.org.

Who should I submit for my employee/parent roster?Staff and parents wishing to receive a unique membership card and/or access to My TXHSA , the member only area of the TXHSA website, can receive these member benefits if their email address are entered into the organization roster. An administrative staff person can manage the individuals who are on the organization roster. A priority for the TXHSA is to have direct contact with all senior level staff and key spokespersons (ie. Executive Directors, Directors, Education Coordinators, Policy Council/Governing Body Chair) from an agency. We strongly encourage you to provide those names, titles, and emails to us annually to keep up-to-date.

How do I submit my employee/parent roster?To submit or modify your employee roster, please visit My TXHSA and log in with a primary contact or program administration contact email and password. If you need to assign a staff member program administration access to manage your roster, please contact TXHSAmembership@txhsa.org.

Who is an Administrative Contact?An Administrative Contact is a designated Staff member(s)-usually a Administrative Assistant, Secretary, Human Resources Specialist-to handle your program's clerical TXHSA affairs.

How do I designate an Administrative Contact?Send your request to TXHSAmembership@txhsa.org and include your program's name, the name and email address for the specified staff member.

Grantee, Delegates, Partners"TXHSA membership benefits extends to individuals who are employed or enrolled with the agency named in the membership application. Grantee's membership does not extend to delegate or partner organizations. Delegate or partners organizations can secure membership benefits by paying dues directly to TXHSA. Grantee wishing to pay for delegates or partners should contact TXHSA for support.
